If you’re worried about your child or teen’s learning, development, or progress at school, you’re not alone. Many families notice challenges with attention, learning, emotional regulation, or academic confidence and feel unsure about what support is truly needed. Parents often seek clarity through a psychoeducational assessment in Toronto/Etobicoke to better understand their child’s strengths, identify what’s getting in the way, and take the next steps with confidence at home and at school.
With over 20 years of experience as an educator and psychoeducational consultant, Niza supports families through comprehensive, strengths-based psychoeducational assessment services for children and teens. Her approach is warm, collaborative, and practical, focused on helping families understand a child’s learning profile and providing clear recommendations that families and schools can apply right away.
Niza works under the supervision of our Clinical Psychologist, Dr. Jamal Lake in the interpretation of assessment results and the development of recommendations to support learning and educational planning. This helps ensure the process is ethical, evidence-informed, and developmentally appropriate.
Throughout her career, she has supported children, teens, and families across diverse settings, including hospitals, schools, and community-based services throughout the GTA. She also brings strong experience mentoring educators and guiding inclusive practices that promote equity, engagement, and access to learning for all students.
Her goal is to help children and teens move forward with greater confidence while empowering caregivers with understanding and direction. She brings a culturally responsive lens informed by experience across Canada and internationally.
