Are there challenges in your life that have you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, or disconnected from yourself and others around you? Do you feel like you don’t quite have the words to describe how you feel? Perhaps you are looking for a person to listen, while working through your thoughts and feelings? As human beings, I believe we come with our unique experiences and nuance differences that make us who we are. We all come with special strengths and abilities that must be acknowledged and celebrated.

In my practice, I use a blend of techniques from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy, Solutions-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Narrative Therapy. My therapeutic approach is collaborative, person-centred, and holistic. I follow a Culturally Responsive and Social-Justice (CRSJ) lens and believe that our social environments are factors that can have profound value and impact on our daily lives. In our session together, we will explore and reflect the way your individuality, community, and identified intersections are woven together to influence the life you live. I believe my role in your journey is to meet you where you are and to cultivate a space that feels safe, compassionate, empowering, and non-judgemental.

Therapy is a time and place for you to be vulnerable, self-discover, explore, process, and reflect at your own pace. Whether this is your first, second, or third time seeking support, searching for a therapist is a vulnerable position to be in. I believe the therapeutic relationship between client and therapist is sacred, and the trust and bond are foundational to your therapeutic experience. If you think we may be a great fit, I invite you to connect with me for a 15-minute free consultation – I would love to see how we may collaborate.

More about Jennifer

In addition to my professional commitments, I enjoy exploring creative outlets, and my latest adventure has been learning to create textiles on a loom. I also occasionally knit, sketch/paint, and have recently started exploring sound healing. In relation to creating art, I have been learning to let go of the need for perfection, which has allowed me to truly enjoy the process of experimenting and play. I enjoy spending time by the water and hiking in the mountains when I can. I love to learn about different languages, and the way they shape our knowledge, reality, and experiences in the world.
