I take a warm, collaborative approach to assessment, with a genuine interest in getting to know the child behind the test scores. I believe that understanding a child's strengths, challenges, and unique way of learning can help take some of the uncertainty out of questions that parents may have been carrying for a long time.

For children especially, assessments can be an opportunity to better understand how they learn, what comes naturally to them, and where they may need a little extra support. I enjoy helping children see their strengths while giving parents a clearer picture of how they can support their child at home and at school. As both a Psychologist and a former elementary school teacher, I bring a unique perspective to my work with children and families. My years in the classroom gave me firsthand experience with the many different ways children learn, communicate, and experience school. I understand that parents are often coming to an assessment with many questions and, sometimes, a lot of uncertainty. My goal is to make the process feel comfortable and collaborative, while helping families leave with a better understanding of their child and practical strategies they can actually use.

I provide comprehensive psychoeducational assessments for children and adolescents, with experience assessing ADHD, Learning Disabilities, Intellectual Disability, Giftedness, and social-emotional concerns including anxiety and depression. I take the time to understand each child's unique history, strengths, and concerns so that assessment findings can be understood within the context of the whole person.

Above all, I strive to create a warm, non-judgmental space where children feel comfortable being themselves and parents feel heard. I see assessment as a starting point for understanding, not simply an endpoint or diagnosis, and I hope that each family leaves with greater clarity, confidence, and a path forward.

More about Jade
Outside of my work, I love spending time outdoors and can usually be found hiking, kayaking, or exploring with my goldendoodle, Olive. I am also an avid reader, particularly when it comes to romantasy novels, and I'm always happy to recommend my latest bookstore find. I enjoy discovering new places, spending time with family and friends, and, naturally, consider Diet Coke an essential part of the day.

I am excited to be back in Toronto and look forward to working with children, families, and individuals throughout the surrounding communities.
