Have you been struggling with anxiety, depression, loneliness, or relationship issues? Do you feel worried, sad, hopeless, or helpless? Have you wondered how past struggles and trauma affect your daily life? Do you want to clarify your life goals and expectations? With therapy, we can understand, process, and release from painful thoughts, emotions, and experiences that have a hold on us. We can also learn to live more fulfilling, happier, and healthier lives.

I tailor my practice to the individual needs of my clients. With compassion, I encourage an atmosphere of comfort and trust, so clients feel safe and willing to express themselves. While I am here to help clients, I also encourage the development of self-efficacy so they can ultimately learn to help themselves. I believe that therapy is successful when clients feel increasingly confident in their abilities. Together, we will explore your past and present, as well as future goals to capture the essence of who you are and where you want to be in life. Your strengths will be validated and appreciated, while your problems will be seen as potential areas for growth, not weaknesses or failures. Indeed, the language we use to describe ourselves can pull us down further or be a source of inspiration in the ever changing tides of life.

In my previous career as an educator, I travelled and lived overseas for 12 years. This has given me an appreciation of different cultures and walks of life and has helped me connect with people of diverse backgrounds. One thing that I discovered while travelling is that people in different countries are more similar than different regarding their fears, joys, hopes and dreams. In the end, most of us want to love, be loved, and to feel like we are living satisfying and purposeful lives. With therapy, we can head in this direction.

Please get in touch for a free 15-minute phone consultation. I offer video or phone call sessions. Looking forward to hearing from you.

More about Jabari

I am a musician at heart- a self-taught pianist (classical, jazz, and my own compositions), an avid chess player, and am dedicated to yoga, weight training, and swimming. Perhaps the thing I enjoy most is having joyful and deep conversations with friends with soft music playing in the background.
