My name is Lucie Ritchie and I am a Doctoral Candidate specializing in Traumatology. I am a trauma psychotherapist offering virtual services throughout Ontario and in-person sessions in Etobicoke (Toronto West), Ontario. I follow the latest neuroscience research to assist my clients in shifting into their authentic selves from outdated survival states that perpetuate suffering. I do this through the NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM) and Neurofeedback while promoting the importance of exercise and nutrition.

I work with adults and children who have complex, shock, or vicarious traumas, or symptoms thereof. I also work with ADHD, insomnia, anxiety, panic, depression, dissociative symptoms, and performance challenges. To experience changes at the roots and to benefit from neuroplasticity in real-time, I mostly employ the NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM®) and Neurofeedback. These two approaches are informed by neuroscience to help clinicians like me get to the root of each client's unique concerns.

Neurofeedback has been used in hospitals for over 50 years to treat conditions that range from epilepsy to ADHD. To learn more about Neurofeedback and its process in sessions, I created a short video to help paint a picture:

More about Lucie

I am on your side! I am passionate about my work and am always seeking to deepen my knowledge and abilities in the field of trauma. After completing my master’s degree, I sought to deepen my expertise in trauma through neuroscience. I am currently completing my doctoral degree in traumatology and am focusing my doctoral research on neurofeedback, specifically the Default Mode Network (DMN).

On a personal level, I love spending time with my family, especially with my 5- and 6-year-old sons. I am a proud “sports mom” who also enjoys biking, yoga, weightlifting, and paddleboarding in the summers. I am a firm believer in the healing power of clean eating, restful sleep, prayer, and self-development.
